Triple Creek and Rockwell Collins win 2007 ASTD Excellence in Practice Citation

(Greenwood Village, Colorado) Triple Creek Associates today announced they won a 2007 ASTD Excellence in Practice Citation in partnership with Rockwell Collins, a leading provider of innovative communication and aviation electronics solutions.

Presented by the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), this prestigious award recognizes organizations for results achieved through learning and performance practices and solutions. All submissions went through a blind review process conducted by a panel of experts from the workplace learning and performance field.

“We are thrilled to receive this award and to be recognized by such a well respected organization such as ASTD,” says Randy Emelo, President and CEO of Triple Creek Associates.

Triple Creek and Rockwell Collins’ winning entry showcased the Enterprise Mentoring Program at Rockwell Collins, which uses Triple Creek’s web-based Open Mentoring® process. The nomination highlighted a pilot program of over 2,200 employees who used a customized version of Open Mentoring® for nine months and detailed plans for expanding the program enterprise-wide to all 20,000 employees across 27 countries.

"Leveraging Triple Creek's Open Mentoring® technology allowed us to connect people across geographic and organizational boundaries on a real-time basis,” says Karen O'Connor, leader of Talent Management Strategic Programs for Rockwell Collins. Initial pilot results indicate improved employee engagement and productivity measures as a result of participating in a mentoring relationship. “We believe that by integrating mentoring as a key component of our overall leadership development architecture and enabling all employees to participate in a mentoring relationship, we will drive higher overall employee engagement and productivity, resulting in bottom-line business return to the company."

The partnership between Rockwell Collins and Triple Creek “epitomizes our relationships with clients,” says Emelo. “We view ourselves as partners and work closely with clients to help them succeed. Rockwell Collins is a great example of how to implement a mentoring program well and how to create a mentoring culture, and the Rockwell team should be commended. We’re delighted with their success and look forward to continuing our work with them as their program grows.”

Out of 97 submissions, ASTD gave out 12 awards and 31 citations. Winners will receive recognition in June during the 2008 ASTD International Conference and Exposition in San Diego, California.
